Pick-up service for large items, the Pick-up Sortti

The Pick-up Sortti is a service that fetches, by request, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, couches or other furniture for which households no longer have any use.

The Service of Pick-Up Sortti

  • a pick-up service for fetching large items from households
  • One pick-up delivery includes three items or one couch or dining room set. N.B. Every single part of a bookshelf is classified as one separate item. For example, if the bookshelf consists of separated and detached sets of drawers and shelves, these will be seen as two separate items. 
  • The items should be of such a size that two persons will be able to carry them.
  • The service of Pick-up Sortti does not include loose construction or renovation waste, hazardous waste, normal landfill waste, waste generated by enterprise activities or anything which is considered to be inappropriate waste.
  • The service does not include any demolition work.

HSY has the right to forward items for further recycling or to reuse these as materials. Some of the items will be disposed of at landfills.

Prices

The basic rate for one pick-up is 60 Euros and it includes the transportation of at least three items

  • from the waste collection point of a property yard
  • from the inside of a property building.

If there are more than three items, an additional fee of 30 Euros will be charged for each load of three items, which means that

  • a transportation of a load of 4-6 items costs 90 Euros
  • a transportation of a load of 7-9 items costs 120 Euros.

The fee for the pick-up has to be paid to the driver in cash or with a bank card. One-family houses, with their own waste management contract, may add the visits of the pick-up service to their waste management invoice. The pick-up visits requested by the house manager may also be added to the waste management bill of the housing company.

Order the service from the waste management customer service, tel. +358 9 1561 2110. When placing your order, please provide the number of items and describe their quality in as much detail as possible. The final price will always be defined when the load is picked-up, according to an estimation made by the driver.

The number of pick-ups is limited per day and must be ordered at least two (2) days before the desired pick-up date.
