The new regional collection points have now been completed in Vantaa

The renewal of the regional collection points is now almost complete in Vantaa. Five new regional collection points are now available for the inhabitants of Vantaa. These collection points were already introduced during July. The regional collection points are located in Korso (Huuhkajantie 1), Päiväkumpu (Peijaksentie 2), Tikkurila (Unikkotie), Vapaala (Piikkikuja), Vantaapuisto (Vantaanrinne 14) and in Riipilä, in the yard of Liisan Puoti (Mäntymäki 4).

The regional collection points provide separate containers for glass, paper, recyclable cardboard, small-sized metal items, and batteries, whilst some also include containers for clothes. The HSY Helsinki Region Environmental Services Authority was liable for the planning and construction of the regional collection point network.

After the completion of the new regional collection points, HSY and its partners in cooperation will remove all the lone standing collection points. Collection containers for glass and batteries, which are the liability of HSY, will be removed during the early autumn. Some occasional collection containers for paper will however remain, in so far as these are duly authorized.

HSY’s partners in cooperation are the municipalities of the area, Paperinkeräys Oy, Suomen Keräystuote Oy, Kuusakoski Oy, UFF, and the Fida Second Hand Shops.
